I’M ALL ABOUT THE BROWS!

good brows 3

Hey lovelies! How was everyone’s Monday? For me, today was a stereotypical Monday. Long, terrible, hectic, and just overall not very good. But I came home, immediately got into my pajamas, made some hot tea, put on a sheet mask, and now I’m writing a little post for you all to enjoy, to hopefully help if you’re having a blue Monday too!

Brows are probably my favorite part of my every day makeup, and I love buying new products to test out to improve them. And I think my brows have come a long way over the years! From using just a random drugstore too-dark eye shadow, to the classic tadpole shape, to properly being able to get a nice shape and complete the “natural but defined” brow. I won’t say I’ve perfected it, but I’m definitely growing happier with them! Plus it helps that I haven’t waxed them in a while, so they’ve grown in thicker and just that much more okay.

As you can see, I feel very strongly about brows. So I figured today I would talk to you all about some products I’m loving right now!

01. GLOSSIER’S BOY BROW IN BLONDE

I’ve mentioned it several times on here, but I’m seriously still loving it. It’s absolutely perfect for those quick days where you don’t want much on, or are looking to have a more naturally feathered yet also amazing brows. I love to use it alone, or with other products. Either way, it’s amazing. And it gives so much more dimension than I ever would have guessed. The blonde color is closer to my natural hair color, which is lovely. But I’m considering picking up a darker shade for those days where I want a bit more oomph. It’s actually a decent price point as well, and a little goes along way with this stuff. So it’s definitely my go-to brow when I’m going to work/running errands.

02. ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILL’S BROW WIZ

I know it’s a cult classic, but that’s because it’s amazing. It’s great for defining shape, for shading, and for giving your brow that natural gradient look. I’m naturally a red head, so I picked up the color Auburn and haven’t turned back since. I’m excited to give the Dip Brow a go as well. But seriously, if you haven’t tried it, you should. And if you have any good dupes for it, let us all know in the comments!

03. NYX’S BROW CONTOUR – SCULPT AND HIGHLIGHT PENCIL

I’m gonna be honest with you: I didn’t expect much from this. My boyfriend Tyler found this hidden gem on a clearance shelf at Target and immediately threw it into my cart to give it a go. I’m really happy he did now. I haven’t heard much about this dual ended pencil prior to using it, but honestly it’s a cheap and easy product to use if you’re ballin’ on a budget. I will suggest to go light handed at first, and a good eyebrow brush will help make it look less patchy, but it’s a good item for it’s price. Plus it’s got a handy little brow bone highlight, making it great for traveling!

04. BENEFIT’S KA-BROW

This is quite possibly the star of the show, if I’m honest. Benefit launched a huge brow product line this month and so far, I am not disappointed. Matter of fact: I plan to buy more products to try out. The Ka-Brow cream-gel product is actually a dream to work with, and the cute little brush makes it that much more convenient as well. It’s honestly not hard to work with whatsoever, gliding right over your hairs. It’s very diverse, just like the Brow Wiz. In the sense that it’s quite simple to go for a natural brow, a more chiseled brow, shade in, define the outline, etc. It just does everything. and the best part is it can be worn alone and look fabulous. With the others, I tend to use multiple products in order to get my desired look. But with the Ka-Brow, it’s basically all I need before I leave the house. Have you tried any of their new line? If so, what are your thoughts on the products?

And as always, thanks for reading!

    1. I love it! It’s not super wet-feeling. More like a tacky cream. But I’ve actually really enjoyed it so far. It’s probably my favorite brow product I’ve tried. Which I never expected to say! The only con I have to it is it was kind of hard for me to pick a shade at Sephora. I’m a redhead, and it was sort of a challenge to find something that wasn’t super ashy and blonde, but not super dark brown either. But I went with number 2 and it worked out well thankfully! haha. It’s got a seriously good lasting time too. When I put it on, it stays all day.

      1. While I was writing this, I was thinking that I would really like to make that into a post! Like a step-by-step photo guide. But I didn’t know if it would be redundant doing both of those posts. I’m glad you mentioned that though, because it sounds fun! I’ll put that up soon! 🙂

  1. Such pretty product shots! I wish I was more into working on my brows but I’m just so lazy! I’ve been using the benefit gimme brow tho and it’s done a good job at providing some filling without looking too unnatural 👍🏾

    1. Thanks, Gracie! 🙂 And I’m gonna be honest with you: I’ve been getting more and more lazy with my brows recently too. I used to spend so much time and effort into them but not I don’t mind swiping a tinted brow gel through and calling it a day, haha.

      1. I’ve tried doing straighter bolder brows but I just don’t feel the suit me. I just got Anastasia brow pomade recently so I’ll be trying that out! I always try to switch up my routine but usually very lazyyy

  2. Great timing, I’m going to get me NYX Microbrow tomorrow – auburn, I think 🙂 I’m using Inglot’s pot (AWESOME) now, but pencils are quicker, generally, right? For those, OMG I OVERSLEPT, mornings. 🙂
