MY GO-TO DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS

As someone who has spent countless money on drugstore products, I can vouch that buying cheap makeup products will always and forever be a hit and miss. Sometimes the most promising of products turn out to be a dud, while others are absolutely fabulous and a bargain for the price.

Today, I wanted to round up some of my favorite products from the drug store that I repurchase time and time again.

01. wet n wild contour palette in Dulce De Leche

While the face powder side is a bit too dark and yellow for my fair skin, the contour shade on this is absolutely fabulous. It’s not too orange, which is hard to find in drugstore products. It’s a versatile shade and can be used anywhere from fair to medium skin tones. I love the fact that it’s matte, and the texture is smoothe and easy to blend. This is definitely a keeper in my eyes!

02. elf smudge pots

Let me start off by saying: they’re a dollar. Let me say that again. A dollar. Which still blows my mind. These little cuties are so perfect for quick and easy makeup days, or to use as a pigmented cream base for a more dramatic look. No matter what shade or look you’re going for, there’s no denying that these are so easy to work with. And, dare I say it, I like them better than the Maybelline color tattoo shadows. These are way more pigmented, are easier to work with, and last longer. (Not to mention cheaper!) But then again, that’s just my opinion.

03. maybelline lash sensational mascara

Hands down my favorite drugstore mascara that I’ve tried.

04. wet n wild setting spray

This honestly took me by surprise, especially since it’s $3. And while it’s not as good as my Makeup Forever Setting Spray, I honestly have nothing but good words for this spray. It dries quickly, it keeps my makeup in place all day, and makes me look less like a caked up mess. And that’s the kind of lifestyle I aspire to keep.

05. maybelline colorsensational lipsticks + pixi lipsticks

I was never ever ever a fan of non-matte lipsticks. I thought they were tempermental, they didn’t last long, they weren’t pigmented enough, and they smudged easily… Until I tried both of these brands. PIXI’s honey bare got me hooked on trying tinted lipbalms and satin-finished lipsticks, and now I own so many it’s not even funny. If you haven’t tried PIXI’s, I 100% reccomend picking up honeybare. It’s my go-to shade. And if you’re looking for something more dramatic, fun, and long lasting, try some of the colorsensational lipsticks. I got the shades Electric Orange and Vivid Rose for some autumnal vibes and they make any makeup look that much more amazing.

06. original formula airspin loose face powder

If you can get over the fact that it smells horrific, then give this powder a go. I love this loose powder to bake with. It works wonders with a damp sponge. For the price range, and how much product you get, you really can’t go wrong. It keeps my contour sharp all day long, and stops my under eyes from creasing. It’s so good, I put up with the smell every day of the week. (Don’t worry, once it’s settled, you won’t smell like baby powder anymore).

  1. The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara surprised me – I don’t typically get on with Maybelline mascaras but that one was outstanding!
I’ll have to look out for the elf smudge pots – they sound great. And so cheap.
And that Airspun loose powder has been on my wish list for ages – they don’t sell it here so I’d have to order online.
    Great list!
